Regrets for lack of past blogging!

I did make valentine cookies! My cookie partner is such a fast blogger that it allows me to procrastinate!

Snow Days!!!!

We're on our second snow day (and I'm thinking maybe a third tomorrow), which allows for extra "cookie time". Kyle asked for these for his mom's engagement party. He said just a winter theme would be good. So snowmen and hearts it was with the picture taken in the snow.

Operation Second Chance

I made these for our current good cause, Operation Second Chance. They are having an event this weekend and asked for something patriotic. The hearts and stars look nice plated together.

The Queen of Hearts...

A double batch of Valentine cookies sit ready for purchase and consumption in my freezer. These ones are decorated with the flooding technique. They were fun to make.

First Things First

The Colts are going to the Superbowl!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be using this cutter real soon.

Secondly, more Valentine cookies. I used edible glitter on some (the photo doesn't do them justice), they turned out very pretty.

82 Hearts

And that's just the beginning.

I baked and decorated 82 of these beauties this weekend for the upcoming "holiday". I especialy like the smaller ones with the scalloped edge. By the way, the heart plate is from Walmart ($1.50), and I bought a few smaller ones there for a buck.

Need cookies? Place your order early (like Rodecia did), as these are some of our most popular. They will disappear quickly.

Cookies for a Friend

While I was baking for the shower--I made extra cookies to take to a friend. I didn't turn them into dresses, but I used the same decorating idea.

Mistakes

Our kids will tell you that we only let them eat the cookies that don't pass our quality assurance test. They call them mistakes.
We have an order for bridal shower cookies. Congratulations Andrea!
I made these as samples along with some cookies I was making for personal use. The cookie on the left has a big dent in it and the one on the right has a crumb in the icing. Needless to say, I wouldn't even give these as samples. The shower cookies will be in pink and brown (love those colors) and will probably be similar to these. Stay tuned for the final product.
