Fall Fun!

I had to post more than one picture because these turned out so FUN! Audrey decorated the acorns and I did the leaves. Together, they make a great platter. Pam, thanks for inspiring the cookies for your reunion party. I hope everyone loves them.

Cookie Waiver

I gave these to my favorite PAA, Jessica. She makes sure I get work so that I have money to buy the ingredients to make cookies!

She called me yesterday to say she had just eaten one of the cookies and that it was delicious. I told her I was so glad she enjoyed it, but I gave her the cookies on August 24th!!! She said they were too pretty to eat and they had been on her desk. No, not just on her desk, on her desk for 29 days!!!!

We only freeze cookies for a month, to leave them out for a month and then eat them, unthinkable. I told her I'm going to make her sign a cookie waiver so that when she gets sick she can't sue me.

A question and contest: How long would you leave one of our cookies on your desk before you decided it was not safe to eat?

Leave a comment with the answer and your e-mail address. One comment per person, please. The winner will be chosen at random on October 8. The prize: One dozen Halloween cookies (we will ship within the USA).

Wilton, Clowns and Bears, Oh My

I made these creepy clowns and cute bears at my Wilton class last night. Next week we move on to much bigger and prettier things--roses--wish me luck, I'll need it!

In The Freezer

I was decorating some birthday cookies for a Ravens fan (check later this week for that photo) and just used the same icing for these.

They are in the freezer if anyone needs them--the perfect all occasion cookie!

Wilton Course 1

I've always wanted to take a cake decorating class. I know, you're thinking why does she need a cake decorating class when she does such a wonderful job decorating cookies :)

This is my first cake. And yes, it's Stephen's 15th birthday. Happy birthday Stephen!!!!!!!!!!

I could probably bake and decorate 4 cakes in the time it takes me to decorate two dozen cookies. Maybe I'm on to something here, before you know it, we'll be called Cookies and Cakes for a Good Cause.

Artsy

Marylouise ordered these for an art show she will be having next weekend.

Since we have never done these before, we didn't know what to expect. But when you put two of the best cookie decorators in Damascus together (whose expectations are quite high) you get these beauties. We were very pleased with the way they turned out.

Apple for the Teacher?

Audrey challenged me to make these. (Thanks for the wonderful idea from Bakerella) I think they are too cute. A cake pop with a pretzel stem and green M & M leaf. I wonder if these apples will keep the doctor away..hmmm.
